The Veloso family has been deeply rooted in the coffee industry since 1977, emerging as one of the foremost authorities in Specialty Coffee within the Cerrado Region. Over the years, two generations have worked in harmony at the Santa Cecília farm, fostering family unity and passing down a profound love for coffee from one generation to the next.
Farm
Nestled within the picturesque landscapes of the Cerrado region, the centennial Santa Cecília farm stands as a beacon of tradition in the municipality of Carmo do Paranaíba. With an average altitude of 1,132m, the farm cultivates a diverse range of varieties including Acaiá Cerrado, Acauã Novo, Red and Yellow Catuaí, among others. Notably, 30% of the farm’s land is dedicated to protected forests and reservoirs, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability.
The farm boasts comprehensive infrastructure for post-harvest processing, including warehouses and facilities for loading containers to be shipped directly from the farm. Beyond its operational prowess, Santa Cecília is deeply invested in sustainability initiatives, spearheading projects like the SEMEAR reforestation project, which has seen the successful replanting of over 127 thousand native trees since its inception in 2012.
