Region Cerrado Patrocinio/Chapadão de Ferro
100% Cerrado of Minas
About 15 kilometers east of Patrocinio, Minas Gerais, you will find a collection of farms and plantations that are unique in their own way. The soil here is different: full of nutrients and abundant in unusual minerals, the agricultural conditions here are unlike any other place in Brazil because all of these crops are located in a crater of a dormant volcano!
The volcano is called by the natives Chapadão de Ferro, which translates into Polish as the “Iron Plateau”. A mountain with a diameter of 16 km and an altitude of 1260 m above sea level.
The unique soil factors are combined with well-defined seasons, characterized by warm, humid summers and mild, dry winters, which are based on the production of homogeneous coffee fruits and support farms during the harvest period.
The natural factor alone is not sufficient to produce high-quality coffee and human care is also a key factor. For this reason, once ripe, the coffee fruits are harvested and then sorted to ensure that only the best beans are processed. From there, they are left to dry in the Brazilian sun on an extensive, specially built patio. Once the ideal moisture content is reached, the grains are segregated for the second time.
Once the preparation is complete, the coffee is packaged in a special Grain Pro packaging to ensure that the raw beans retain their full properties during transportation to Poland and storage.
In a cup, the taste is an extraordinary sweetness, balance and low acidity. The creamy taste in the mouth has distinct notes of cashew, cocoa, caramel, citrus fruit and a long chocolate finish. With milk, it resembles a pudding meal on a Sunday afternoon.
